Horseshoe Crab

Two by two, horseshoe crabs come ashore.



Stranded crabs dehydrate in the sun.
Crabs use the water to help them navigate.



Horseshoe crabs bury themselves in the wet sand to lay eggs.



Crabs lay eggs by the tons.



Shorebirds feast on eggs at low tide.
